Intern Blogs

Updated to 4.7.6

Just finished an upgrade. It only took 20 minutes to be back up and running. All the errors I was experiencing are now gone. This weekend I'll attempt to go to 5.0 then 5.1.Thanks for all the help.

No show on February 5, 2007 - Sorry for any confusion!

... but we'll catch up on all things Drupal next time! Blame it on JenM!

Audio Help

I feel I must apologize for my lack of participation in the live chats and the whole internship. I have been able to get my Drupal up and running, although I'm finding it difficult to get my students (high school) to use it the way I'd like, but you really aren't here to help with that.

I've recently begun recording my math classes and want to make them available to my students and potentially parents (really don't know why, more I guess for the challenge and absent students, but again I digress).

I've got 4.7.4 installed, running (mrseal.org) using simple access, taxonomy access and roles to limit course specific information. It is working great, like I said. However, I've looked at a few of the RSS modules to enhance the built in RSS capabilities of drupal.

Gallery2 for 5.0

I am having a bad time of installing Gallery2 on my Drupal 5.0. Any ideas on what I may be doing wrong? I have the Gallery installed in my Modules but the Gallery2 has to be on the root section of the server, which I did. When I run the configuration, it tells me the path for Gallery2 is invalid. I have it set for autodetect but it "ain't detecting"!

Wondering

Well, Paul suggested I register for this and I did - but I'm uncertain as to what I'm supposed to be doing. I thought perhaps there would be "classes" and perhaps there will be. I'll keep looking around - my interest is really in how to set this site up in order to make it functional for my own purposes in teaching first, and then to think about how it might support the work of my writing project site.

my own Drupal

I purchased a website and hosting service that I'll be using for this academy, plus for my students. It can be found at mrseal.org.

Anyone else interested in a good hosting service www.opensourcehost.com has thus far been excellent, including seting up my drupal for free. Be sure to use the reference drupal for an additional 100 mb of space.

My thanks for the use of the sandbox to this point.

Drupal Videos

Thanks to a post by D'Arcy Norman, I happened across a great resource that's made with Drupal called Dabble.

As the site itself tells us, "Dabble is about people describing, discovering and organizing video, wherever it's found or hosted." Click here for more information on Dabble.

Bert Boerland, in a comment on D'Arcy's post, points to the 31 (at the time of this post) videos that have been tagged as "Drupal" videos.

Dabble looks like it might be useful for identifying, tagging and ultimately finding, videos across hosting service providers. Notwithstanding the actual usefulness of the site as a tagging and reference tool, it stands as an example of what can be done with Drupal.

How do I change the order of pages listed in a drupal book?
