I'm aware that one can set the access permissions on "artifacts" uploaded to a particular installation of Elgg. My question is: can you (if you're not the moderator) change these permissions once they are set? For instance, can a make a folder "public" after I've generated it as "private"?

Is this something that only the moderator of a specific installation is able to do?

If so, how does one (who is not a moderator) access the "properties" of a folder to make such a change

Keywords: Elgg, files, folders, privacy

  1. I do not think you can Doug. Not as a user. You must be an admin. I went to the personalearningspace.com and tried it there after trying it here. I was able to make that change on the pls site on which I have admin controls. I could not do that on this site. Perhaps its a control admin can permit users to have.
